Why we exist

Some Medicare rules can’t be trained.

Medicare’s rule set changes 4 times a year. Some rules can be memorised by a billing team. Some can be printed on a cheat sheet. Others can’t be trained at all: they depend on data only Medicare holds, like how many times a patient has already claimed an item. Every workaround eventually fails for some patients, because the answer lives somewhere the staff can’t reach.

RebateRight closes that gap. Before you submit a claim, we check hundreds of Medicare rules against it. We cover the full Medicare Benefits Schedule (MBS), all 6,000-plus items. We connect directly to the Services Australia systems that hold the answers.

Mohammad Chamanpara

Co-founder

A software architect with 23 years’ experience and a Master’s in algorithms and computation. He has architected systems at Atlassian, the Commonwealth Bank, and Sonic Healthcare.

He has led globally distributed engineering teams and lectured postgraduate students in algorithms and programming.

At RebateRight, he leads the engineering. It’s why most customer requests ship in hours, not months.

Elizabeth Loughlin

Co-founder

Over 19 years in healthcare: radiology operations at Castlereagh Imaging, then product portfolio management at Sonic Healthcare, with an MBA from the Australian Institute of Management.

She has led teams, managed clinics, designed clinical workflows, and trained the booking staff who assessed Medicare eligibility.

She brings the radiology floor, the booking desk, and the patient into every decision RebateRight makes.
