The page you have open.
In web-based practice software, the RebateRight button reads the patient on the tab you are on.
Right the first time.
The RebateRight extension for Chrome and Edge reads the patient from the page you have open. One check verifies the patient with Medicare and returns a verdict for each MBS item, in a side panel beside your practice software.
The extension uses the API Key and Minor ID from your RebateRight account, and a trial gives you both.
A sample check, for a sample patient.
The panel opens beside the page you are on, so your practice software stays in view.
Open a patient in your practice software, as you do now.
You may also press Alt+M. The panel fills in the patient’s name, date of birth, sex, Medicare number and Individual Reference Number (IRN), and the provider numbers on the page.
Add the MBS item numbers and press Check eligibility. To check the patient alone, press Verify patient only.
The extension picks out the patient’s details by fixed rules, with no artificial intelligence. The extension needs no setup for your practice software.
In web-based practice software, the RebateRight button reads the patient on the tab you are on.
Select the patient’s details on any page, right-click and choose Read selection into RebateRight.
From desktop software, copy the patient’s details and press Paste details in the panel. You may also press Type details and enter the details by hand.
When a page shows more than one Medicare number, the panel asks you to choose the patient’s number.
Patient verification. Medicare checks the patient’s details and returns the corrections it holds, such as the right IRN.
Each MBS item. Each item you add is checked against the patient’s age and sex, the referrer and in-hospital status.
Medicare’s own checks. For the items Medicare verifies online, Medicare’s check adds frequency limits and item conflicts.
The benefit and the fee. Each item shows its schedule fee, and each eligible item shows the benefit.
When a detail has changed, the panel shows the value Medicare holds, ready to copy.
The extension reads only when you ask it to, and sends only what you submit.
The extension reads a page only when you press its button, use its shortcut or choose it in the right-click menu, and only after you accept its notice.
You see every detail before anything is sent. What you submit goes only to RebateRight’s service in Australia, which checks it with Services Australia.
Only your API Key, Minor ID, settings and agreement to the notice are held on your computer. The extension holds patient details in memory only.
The extension has no analytics, tracking or advertising.
The Privacy Policy sets out these commitments under Browser extension.
