PRODA

Provider Digital Access is Services Australia’s secure authentication for every Medicare and AIR call. Our organisation and B2B device are registered, and tokens are cached, refreshed, and rotated for you. No action required on your end.

Do I need to set up PRODA or register with Services Australia?

PRODA: never. RebateRight manages it end to end (organisation, B2B device, token rotation). Minor IDs: every Medicare call needs one, but the setup work only applies to Claiming and AIR. For those, each clinic location submits a one-page HW027 form to Services Australia (about 5 business days) and we issue the Minor ID. Patient Verification and Eligibility Check need no setup from you; we handle their Minor IDs entirely.

Can I integrate with my PMS or EMR?

Yes. Any practice management system or healthtech platform that can call REST APIs can integrate with RebateRight. We don’t restrict by vendor. The OpenAPI spec, real-payload examples, and a free test environment are all in the documentation.

What environments are available?

Two. Production at api.rebateright.com.au hits live Medicare, DVA, and AIR with real patients, metered per your plan. Test at test-api.rebateright.com.au uses prepared test patients and providers, is full-fidelity, and is free. Use test while you build; switch hosts to go live.

How are MBS rule changes handled?

Automatically. We monitor Services Australia’s quarterly MBS releases and update our data without you needing to track them. New items, fee changes, rule changes, retired items, all reflected through the same endpoints. See MBS updates for what changed and when.

Where does the data live?

Australian-hosted on Microsoft Azure’s Australia East region (IRAP PROTECTED). Zero Data Persistence by design: every request flows through stateless serverless processing and is discarded the moment the response returns. The only thing we retain is billing metadata (endpoint name, MBS item number, outcome), never patient or provider PII.
