Psychiatry telehealth for admitted patients

Six new items support consultant psychiatry telehealth attendance for hospital-admitted patients, tiered by duration. One item is for a new or lapsed patient over 45 minutes ($301.05). The rest cover admitted patients by length of attendance, from 15 minutes or under ($50.10) up to 75 minutes or more ($246.50).

Constraint removed

Radiation therapy, per-day limits dropped

17 items in the radiation-therapy range (15930–15980) had their once-per-day and once-per-course claim limits removed. This matters most for treatment plans that deliver many sessions. Items affected: 15930, 15932, 15934, 15936, 15938, 15940, 15942, 15944, 15946, 15948, 15970–15980.

Four new pathology and diagnostic items

BNP / NT-proBNP heart failure exclusion (66829, $58.50), whole-body FDG PET for rare cancer (61614, $953.00), point-of-care chlamydia / gonorrhoea / trichomoniasis molecular detection for practitioners (73813, $117.65) and nurse practitioners (73825, $117.65).

Item 73420 (RhD alloimmunisation pathology) also got the largest single fee increase of the release: +$94.40 ($56.00 → $150.40).
